SMU New Exam pattern

 

Dear Students

The University has been progressively upgrading systems of student assessment, one of them being the introduction of Descriptive-type questions at the term-end examinations. The University is happy to announce the following format of examination.

Commencing examinations to be held in Jul/Aug 2013 for students pursuing different programs with SMU DE descriptive questions will now feature in all the term-end examinations to be conducted from April 2013 onwards.

The pattern of question papers is given below for the information of students.

 Note:

Answers for multiple choice questions (MCQ) will continue to be marked the same way as it is being done  presently. However, answers for descriptive questions may be marked at appropriate places depending on mode of examinations. The same is detailed hereunder:

a. in case it is a Pen- based Test (PBT), the answers are to be written in the answer sheets provided for the purpose;

b. in case it is a Computer- based Test (CBT), the answers are to be typed onto the computer provided for the purpose;
